The expression on Scruff's face is exactly what I see each morning when Xena, my puppy mill breeder dog, is about to have her breakfast. She cannot contain her exuberance at the thought of food. She perks up her ears, much like Scruff, flips her head back and up and side to side then does her happy dance, nothing like the mad helicopter whirling she does indicating extreme anxiety when I take her outside. But I keep the faith that one day this beautiful golden retriever will have the confidence to enjoy life as a dog.

ReplyDeleteLove this card and the image! Laughing at that expression. Too funny. Great coloring and the "Woof" sentiment is delightful. Goldens are so definitely part of the family. My last one couldn't bear to leave my side, so if I was outside, so was he. Never give up hope!

ReplyDeleteThis card is adorable Tammy, Scruff's face captures the same look on my Elwoods Face too when he is given a bone. He usually goes to sleep with one foot on it to protect it. The colours and your background paper are wonderful. Congratulations on your permanent appointment to the DT too!
