With Love and Sympathy
I wanted to play along with the latest Lawnscaping Challenge, Try a New Technique. Since I recently added Zig Clean Color Real Brushes to my stash, I thought I would try them out. Let me first tell you though that when it comes to watercolors, I am hopeless! Try as I might, I'm just never satisfied. To create today's card I used a mask to create the floral focal point and stamped it with Petite Florals and added a butterfly from the Critters in the 'Burbs stamp set and its companion Lawn Cuts. Lastly the sentiment is from Scripty Sayings. After creating my card, I feel more confident!

Butterfly
My card today is the result of playtime, my favorite time of the day! Although if playtime coincides with beer time, then it is really my most favorite time of the day!

Dianthus, Burgundy and Vellum
For my card today I printed the beautiful Dianthus from Janey's Digi Designs on my all-time favorite, go-to Cryogen White cardstock from The PaperTemptress and colored it with watercolors! I cut out a window from RC 100# Burgundy cardstock that I used for the card base and replaced it with a piece of dry embossed Heavy Duty Clear Vellum. Rather easy card to put together thanks to The PaperTempress and Janey's Digi Designs!

Berrylicious and Vellum
Today's card is pretty simple to create using Pop Tones 65# Berrylicious cardstock and Heavy Duty Clear Vellum from The PaperTemptress! I first stamped the image onto the cardstock and then I stamped two pieces of vellum and adhered them all together. The sentiment and corners were added to complete the card. Easy as 1-2-3!

Hello 2013
Hello to all my blogging friends and Happy 2013! For me the new year started on a sad note when I learned that a very close friend who has been battling ovarian cancer has hit an extremely severe bump in the struggle of fighting the disease. I have been asked and I am very honored to be taking part in her care. As much as I would like to be creating for now, my time will be devoted to helping my friend thus, my blogging will be inconsistent but I will do my very best to continue to visit you. Her name is Barbara and your prayers would be most appreciated.

Sympathy Card and a Card Within a Card
The first card is simple elegance. I used Black Velvet, that has an unbelievable softness to it and stamped Exotic Bloom then embossed it with clear embossing powder and adhered it to Opal Mica Metallic. Extrememly simple and very tasteful.
The second card is actually a card within a card. I used white ink and stamped swirls on Peachy Velvet Stripes Vellum and formed a pocket and tied it with Copper 3/8 Silky Satin Ribbon. Next, using copper embossing power, I stamped a sentiment on Cryogen White to go inside the pocket and positioned the pocket onto Indigo Blue Skinny Classic Columns that had been embossed with clear embossing powder. Finally, I used a few pieces of lace to hold the pocket in place and a added dots of stickles.
