As if attending a funeral yesterday wasn’t bad enough, we had a thunderstorm roar thru last evening bringing two claps of thunder and high winds that blew a tree branch onto the electric wires knocking out the electricity for almost three hours. It is hard to imagine what our foremothers did without electricity. God knew what he was doing when he planted me in this century. I love using all the off/on switches of modern conveniences such as computers, televisions and microwaves. Although I do live near a river, it is difficult to imagine dragging a load of dirty clothes to it and them banging them on a rock to wash them. Nope, not this kid, give me a switch! So, what does one do in the dark? I took Rozie for a walk and to have seen a shining streetlight would have been a wonderful sight.
I know what you mean...I lost my electricity for three days during the winter and it was terrible! Love your card!
ReplyDeleteTammy, your card is so pretty. Love that image too. I also know what you mean about the electricity. No fun without it. A couple of years ago we were without power AND water for 5 days due to a hail storm! Talk about feeling like the "dark ages"! WOW. LOL
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this card!!!! The purple and the great street light! Definitely another favorite!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty Tammy. I can relate on the no power. I'm not sure which is worse when it's freezing out or so hot yah melt, been in both cases without power and hated every minute of it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, I love this lamp post.
