Hoppy Occasion - Easter

Define overindulging . . . if you find digi images you purchased last year not colored, is that overindulging? If so, I am guilty because I found two! One of them is Bugaboo's cute Hoppy Occasion - Easter. I cannot image what took me so long to get this cute image completed?

Aubery Cake

I won't mention names but someone I know is probably sitting with an ice pack on his head feeling similar to Just Inklined's fun image, Aubery Cake, from over indulging on his birthday! I guess as one advances in years (and this person has definitely advanced), one forgets the lesson learned the day after their birthday last year!

Pray Together

Today begins a new challenge at Digi Doodle Shop and Team Ruth is hosting. The challenge is simple, Friendship, easy and you could win a $10 gift certificate to Digi Doodle Shop

For my card, I used Pray Together found in Digi Doodle Shop's Theme-Christian area. My decision to use this wonderful image is based on the fact that although I am not getting older (my children certainly are and so is my brother, but not me) I have noticed that it requires less time from one birthday to the next and sadly as the numerical value of my birthdays increase, the names of friends on my prayer list also increases. What better gift is there to give to a friend than earnest prayer?

3 Pointer Perry

Today is Dude Time Doodles New Release Blog Hop to introduce the fun new images from Bonibleaux Designs.  I think I earned a slam dunk with 3 Pointer Perry and his basketball net, hoop and backboard.

If you've followed along the hop and you have arrived from CraftyGirl's blog, you have reached the end of the hop. I certainly hope you've left  a comment at each stop for a chance to win a Dude Time Doodles image from the mystery host. If my blog is the first stop continue on to Dude Time Doodles and keep dribbling.

Dolly Llama

It is hard to believe that two weeks have passed and the time has come for a new challenge at Can You Digi It! The challenge for the next two weeks is Pretty as a Peacock. I used Kini Arts - Dolly Llama, available at Can You Digi It for my card and after much playing around, I decided to stay with the color peacock blue for the background. I can tell you that distress inks will color white feathers, just a fun fact! And speaking of fun facts, I thought you'd be interested to know that llamas weigh between 280 to 450 pounds and get that big as strict vegetarians! Llamas are social animals and prefer to live in packs and they make wonderful guard animals even for geese and ducks! Llamas do not bit instead they spit but you have time to get out of the way because they will hum first. Now aren't you glad you visited today!

Be sure to stop by and see what the other It Girls have created and then join the fun for a chance to win a $10 gift certificate to Can You Digi It

The Moon in Bloom

You know that spring has arrived when you see birds singing and flowers blooming on the moon! Thank goodness Squigglefly's artist, Monica Estill, has eyesight that permits such a vision.

Holley's Hobbyists is hosting Squigglefly's new Anything Goes challenge that starts today and my inspiration card is Monica Estill'sThe Moon in Bloom. So go ahead, get crafty and join Squigglefly's challenge!

Pretty Paper

Sometimes the best thing to do with pretty paper is to leave it as is. If you emboss a sentiment and some butterflies on scrap pieces and add a few pearls, you just created an easy but tasteful card!

Easter Bunny

Just Inklined recently released several new images including the adorable Easter Bunny!  True to form, this little bunny got caught digging among the daffodils, I just hope this cute bunny and its family stays out of Mr. McGregor's garden!

Open This One

Today is my brother's birthday and goodness, is he old! I know its probably difficult for you to believe  that since I am so very young, I would have a sibling so long in the tooth but it's true, honest! Because of his age, I decided not to rub salt in the wound and settled on the cute Open This One by Diane Carubiaavailable at Squigglefly. So to my brother, have a great birthday and a wonderful day!

Rodeo Randy

Once again, its time for a new challenge at Dude Time Doodles and it's All About Cowboys! The winner of the challenge will receive a $20 gift certificate to the PaperTempress, our sponsor for the challenge. If you frequently visit me, you've seen some of the delicious cardstock available at the PaperTempress and know its quality.

Since I love cowboys, I had no problem deciding on Rodeo Randy and his companion sentiment #3. I'm only guessing but going by his peculiar stance, he's lost his horse!

Stop by and see what the Dude and the Dudettes have created and visit Dude Time Doodles for all the details and how to enter.

Have a Colorful Easter

I don't know about your calendar but my calendar says today is the vernal equinox, a/k/a first day of spring!!!! So Happy Spring! And since spring is here, Easter cannot be far behind so I thought I better start sharing some Easter cards that I have been making. Todays card is Have a Colorful Easter from Paper Pretties. What can I say, if a leprechaun can bath in gold, I see no reason why the Easter Bunny can't bathe in a vat of dye!

Angel Baby Boy

Rhonda's Rowdy Rascals are heading up this week's challenge at Squigglefly. The challenge is to use homemake flowers as embellishments. Even though I struggle making flowers, I decided to play along and try. I used Squigglefly's artist, Diane Carubia's, adorable Angel Baby Boy. Now it's your turn to try!

Velveteen Stamping

I love watching video tutorials regardless how they relate to making cards and one of my favorite artists is Shari Carroll who always has terrific ideas. Recently she shared a technique that she calls Velveteen Stamping and since I thought it was so pretty, I set about to try it. I started with Heavenly White cardstock from PaperTemptress and white ink to stamp the background followed with several flower images stamped in three different colors. Once dried, I popped it onto Paper Temptress's  Sno Cone Pop Tones and added a matching butterfly and sentiment. Naturally, I had to add pearls!

The Cat Lady

Last Saturday when I saw Squigglefly's artist, Fawn Palmer's, new release, The Cat Lady, and read the sentiments, I roared with laughter and immediately set about to make a super fun card. Unfortunately, the layout of the card does not allow for a great picture so I decided to break it down so you can see each part clearly. I'd hate for you to miss a giggle or two!

Petunias

Officially the first day of spring is Tuesday, March 20 but in my neck of the woods, it has already arrived. Since it has been so spring-like, I can't help but think about planting annuals even though it's a no-no until Mother's Day when the danger of frost is over. To appease myself, I colored Petunias, one of the many beautiful flower images from Just Inklined. Unfortunately, it hasn't helped, it makes me more anxious for  summer.

The Adamant Golfer - Focus

Today's card is The Adamant Golfer - Focus from the Digi Doodle Shop. Although it is not unusual to see this stance out on the course, it is because of this very position that I do not play golf inasmuch as I would never be able to get back up. But to lend support to those of you that can and do get up, I used Adamant Golfer - Focus as my inspiration for the new "People" challenge that starts today at the Digi Doodle Shop, hosted by Team R. Please visit my fellow teammates and then enter the challenge for a chance to win a $10 gift certificate to the Digi Doodle Shop

Danaus Plexippus

A new Squigglefly challenge starts today and it's Holley's Hobbyists turn to be your host and provide inspiration. The challenge, Follow the Recipe, requires the use of a paper or shaped clip. a flower(s) and printed paper. For my card I used the newly released Danaus Plexippus, commonly known as a monarch butterfly, by Squigglefly's artist, Fawn Palmer.  Please visit my fellow Hobbyists for more inspiration and then it's your turn to play along!

Schmoozer

Now doesn't he just think he's special? Schmoozer by Squigglefly's artist Chesney Young, loves to talk, talk about himself that is! So when you see him coming, excuse yourself and head for the hills or be prepared to be bored to tears and pick up the tab!

Sulk Girl

If you visited last Friday, you met Sulk Boy from Just Inklined. Today I am sharing with you another Just Inklined image, Sulk Girl, a very sad young girl, missing the true love of her life! It seems that our gal was busy planning the nuptials when suddenly her intended called off the wedding for the stupidest of reasons, he didn't want to share his toys! Although the sweet miss looks downtrodden, she's actually plotting her revenge!

Happy Birthday Sweet Friend

I have a sweet friend that is just an incredible person and recently she had a birthday. My friend is very unassuming and always, always finds the very best in people to focus on. Because she is such a remarkable person, I wanted her card to be extra special.

Merle Molar

Since it's the first Wednesday of the month, a new challenge starts today at Dude Time Doodles. The challenge is to use springtime hues of green. Spring for me always means a trip to the dentist and so I decided to use Merle Molar from Bonibleaux Designs and dress him up in green. For the most part, my dentist is a very nice person, except when he is hurting me which is pretty much each time I visit!

Stop at the Dude and the Dudettes' blogs and get inspired to use green! The winner will receive 3 Dude Time Doodles images!

A Bit Too Big

I love the creative energy that flows through the mind of Monica Estill, one of the many talented artists at Squigglefly. A Bit Too Big is an example of how her mind works!  I never in a million years would dream of bathing an elephant in a teacup but now that I see how it is done, it makes perfect sense and what a terrific way to conserve water! Not only is your elephant clean but your teacup is spotless with no more telltale stains when bathing is done.

Just Inklined's Blog Hop for March

Welcome to Just Inklined's Blog Hop! I am pleased that I am hosting this month's hop and since it seems that everyone is sick of winter, I asked the design team to make a get well card, maybe for someone suffering from spring fever! For my card I used Just Inklined's Speed Demon and a sentiment wishing the recipient a speedy recovery. Next on the hop is to visit the incredibly talented Toni for more inspiration.  Be sure you leave a comment along the hop for a chance to win an image from Just Inklined.  One final note, there are still a few days remaining for Just Inklined's design team call. If you are interested please stop by here for all the details.

Spring Joy

I don’t know about you but I’ve been thinking spring, spring, spring and so I was inspired to create Spring Joy. To make the card, I used black and embossed the image on a card made with Heavenly White cardstock. Using a die, I created a frame for the embossed image using the delicious Razzle Berry Pop Tone cardstock and finished it with ribbon, pearls, and a sentiment also embossed on Heavenly White cardstock.  The cardstock and ribbon I used to create this card is from PaperTemptress.

Sexy Leprechaun

So, it's a beautiful day and you decide to go for a walk in the woods. You are walking, walking, walking and wait, what is that you see? It's not moving, so you freeze in place because after all, it could be a bear. While you are standing there trying to keep your heart from beating out of your chest (after all a bear might eat you), you realize, with much relief, that it's not a bear. So you step closer, closer, thinking curiosity killed a cat but you can't help being nosey, and then you see a totally naked leprechaun sitting in a pot of gold and she turns her head and says to you, "Well what would you do with a pot of gold?"  I personally, would first grab her underwear and as much gold as I could stuff in my empty backpack (I already drank the six pack) and then run as fast as I could home! Now I know you're wondering why I would swipe her underwear, the answer is simple, no respectable leprechaun would run through the woods naked, people would think she's nuts!

Sexy Leprechaun is by Fawn Palmer and is being released today at Squigglefly just in time for St. Patrick's Day!

Sulk Boy

Poor lad, on St. Valentine's Day cupid's arrow shot him right in his heart. He fell head over heels in love with a sweet young miss that lives two blocks away. Already he has memorized her telephone number, knows her middle name, her favorite color and when her birthday is, not to mention that he has become best friends with her brother. However, typical of the female sex, she's now  planning the wedding and Sulk Boy from Just Inklined just doesn't want to share his toys! *Sigh*, what's a guy to do?

Dog Martini

When I first saw Dog Martini from Whimsie Doodles, I could not help but laugh and then, you know what happens next, yep, I was coloring it!
