. . . bring May flowers. Would you believe this rhyme can be traced back as early as the mid-1500s? If you are an adult, the verse reminds us that if we are patient, good things will come. If you change it just a little and ask a child, “If April showers bring May flowers then what do May flowers bring? . . . Pilgrims! Happy first day of April, may it be filled with good things to come.
