Thinking of you

Glad to be back today with a card featuring the Simon Says Stamp Spring Flower stamp set.  I love the color combination,  something maybe Mother Nature might consider!

Hello You

Once again the busyness of life has gotten in the way of my creating, commenting and blogging. I've missed seeing all of your wonderful creations but I will be around to visit you soon.  I did manage to create one card so that I could play along in the current Lawnscaping Challenge - Thinking of You. The layout of my card is not original but a combination of recent videos I've watched. To create my card I used Scripty Sayings, Birthday Tags, Petite Florals and Home Sweet Home stamp sets and the very pretty ink colors of Wild Rose, Cranberry, Lobster, Fresh Cut Grass and Celery Stick.

You're in my Prayers

After no less than 14 bazillion attempts at watercoloring, I finally managed one!
Oh well, keep trying right!

Thinking of Mew

I love Newton's Nook Designs and I love playing along in the Inky Paws Challenge which is currently a sketch. To create my card, I used Newton's Antics stamp set that I received for winning the last Inky Paws Challenge. I also used one of the sentiment stamps from Newton's Sick Day. The folks at Newton's Nook Designs are very kind and generous and I'd like to thank them for the awesome stamp set I received and well as their patience with me.

Tickle Me Happy

There is something about purple and turquoise that is very appealing to me so I couldn't resist using those colors and Tickle Me Happy stamp set from The Alley Way Stamps. Can't image what bird the feathers could be found on except in my imagination.

Got Flowers

My friend Vicki of Stamp Smiles has started a Flashback Friday Challenge and the current challenge is Got Flowers.  The only hitch is that the stamps, papers and/or embellishments that are used are at least one year or older! After all the years of stamping that I've done, how could I resist playing along? The hard part was dealing with the dust that they had collected!

Scrapy Land Challenge #2

Welcome to Scrapy Land Challenge #2 - Incorporate Heat Embossing and any brand of die that Scrapy Land sells! Welcome to the First Scrapy Land Challenge

Welcome to the first Scrapy Land Challenge! The theme of the first challenge is Anything Goes using one or more dies of the brands that Scrapy Land carries!  For my card I used the beautiful Die-Namites Rosy Rose die cut from white cardstock and placed over rose glitter paper and then I used the Large Marianna Vine Background die from Poppystamps for the leaves on more glitter paper.  The die cuts were arranged on scored vellum with an embossed sentiment before adhering to black cardstock and finally onto a card! Now it's your turn to join the challenge! Please visit the Scrapy Land Challenge for all the details and see all the lovely creations from the rest of the design team!

Brown Bag

To create today's card I started with Neenah Desert Storm (Kraft) cardstock as the base and added a background of Blueberry Brown Bag then with the help of a stencil and white embossing paste, added the dragonflies. The focal dragonfly was made using a die and Oliver Brown Bag and Ice Jade Vellum. All the cardstock used is from one of my favorite places to shop, The PaperTemptress!

Meadow Poppy

My card today features the beautiful Meadow Poppy from Just Inklined. I also had a little play with a stencil and white spray ink for the background.

Village Pump

Today's card features the beautiful newly released Village Pump from Just Inklined. I used water colors and pastels to enhance the delicate lines of the image.  Hopefully the background embossing gives you the illusion of looking through the screen of a door.

Thinking of You

My sweet friend who lost her fight to ovarian cancer in February would have just celebrated another birthday. Since together we shared countless birthdays I didn't want to let the day go by unnoticed so I made this card to send to her family. It wasn't the same as sending her a birthday card but somehow it gave me a little peace of mind.

Green Crepe and Gold Woodgrain

Today's card features PaperTemptress goodness! Using black I heat embossed a tree on Hambly Studio Gold Woodgrain and mounted it on gorgeous Green Crepe. I added another strip of the Gold Woodgrain then stamped a sentiment on Green Crepe. Easy to make with wonderful results!

Swirls and Butterflies

Today's card is the result of playtime using the shadow stamping technique. My favorite part of the card is the purple vellum butterflies!

Oak Tree

My card today features the beautiful Oak Tree a recent release from Just Inklined. Since its summer, I colored the tree accordingly but it won't be long now and the leaves will start to change colors and begin to drop off, lots of potential for the image and of course, you can ignore the name and pretend its an apple tree with little red apples!

Dianthus, Burgundy and Vellum

For my card today I printed the beautiful Dianthus from Janey's Digi Designs on my all-time favorite, go-to Cryogen White cardstock from The PaperTemptress and colored it with watercolors! I cut out a window from RC 100# Burgundy cardstock that I used for the card base and replaced it with a piece of dry embossed Heavy Duty Clear Vellum.  Rather easy card to put together thanks to The PaperTempress and Janey's Digi Designs!
