Narcissus

It has been so cold outside its like living in the freezer along side the ice cream so I decided it was time to bring a touch of warm spring into my home with the beautiful Narcissus from Just Inklined! Since the outside temperature is to rise above freezing today, I think my idea worked!

Noah, Tweety and Waldo

Welcome to this week's Squigglefly Challenge hosted by Holley's Hobbyists! The challenge is Have a Heart, Please! With Valentine's Day right around the corner, add a heart shape to your card, it can be a die cut, embellishment, the shape of your card, or in your image. It does not have to be a Valentine, it just needs to have a heart and be sure to use an image from Squigglefly to be eligible to win! For my card I used Noah, Tweety, and Waldo by Squigglefly artist, Cheryl Alger! So Have a Heart, Please!

Man Flu

Really, is there anything more pitiful than a sick man? Yes, if that man happens to be Man Flu from Dr. Digi's House of Stamps! But no fear, Man Flu is only suffering from over indulgence of the fruit of the vine and not with the ailment that's he's convinced he has!

Enjoy the Ride

To create today's card I started with layering weight Pop Tones #65 Cotton Candy cardstock from the PaperTemptress and added a layer of Pink Mini Bicycles from the Hambly Overlays #3 paper pack also from the PaperTemptress!  I used different colors of the 65# layering cardstock to create the sentiment, bicycle, flowers, leaves and butterflies.

Tea Trolly Dolly

Meet Tea Trolly Dolly, one of the new images available at Dr. Digi's House of Stamps! The darling sweet grandmotherly type, is really serving cold beer in her Brew Master 2000, but don't tell the boss! Everyone loves her, just don't order one of her stale cupcakes!

Sweet Hearts

It has been a while since I last entered the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge but since the jolly fat man in the red suit brought me a couple of new stamps sets I thought I should play along. For my card today I used the Sweet Hearts stamp set from Paper Smooches and was inspired to stack them like the cakes in the inspiration photo.

Music Recital

My youngest daughter is planning a recital for her music students and she asked that I make a card for each to acknowledge their success. The above card is for her piano students and the card below is for her voice student.  Wish I were going to be a member of the audience but since she lives in Okinawa, Japan, I won't be attending. But the good news is that sometime in 2014, she and her husband are returning to the states and this is one mother that is thrilled!

Player One

And the winner is (drumroll please) Player One from Dr. Digi's House of Stamps! But we all knew the come out come last week. The bad news is that Player Two cannot return to work for several weeks because of a severe case of strained thumbs!

If you are still considering applying for the Dr. Digi's House of Stamps design team, the call is still going on, send an email to doctordigi@doctor-digi.com with a link to your blog.

Today I thought I'd share with you a recent valentine I made using the cute pup stamp from Paper Smooches Chubby Chums set and their Dog Icons die.

Village Pump

Today's card features the beautiful newly released Village Pump from Just Inklined. I used water colors and pastels to enhance the delicate lines of the image.  Hopefully the background embossing gives you the illusion of looking through the screen of a door.

Rose Ribbon Bow Frame

Welcome to a new year of Squigglefly Challenges. After a nice holiday break we are back and this week's challenge is hosted by Ronda's Rowdy Rascals! This time of year we are sending out thank you cards so to make the first challenge easy and productive, the challenge is to make a thank you card and for something extra, use heat or dry embossing. For my card I used the beautiful Rose Ribbon Bow Frame from Squigglefly artist, Pamela Lehto and then stamped the sentiment. I got the dry and heat embossing right but somehow missed the 'thank you' part of the challenge. Nevertheless, we'd love to have you play along and show us your thank you card but to be eligible to win, you must use a Squigglefly image and if you don't have one, try one of their many freebies!

Player Two

Since Santa shimmied down the chimney and left a new game, Player Two from Dr. Digi's House of Stamps has diligently been trying to beat someone, anyone! Now he is playing against the youngest child in the neighborhood and from the looks on their faces, I'd say he's about to lose another game!

If you think you've got what it take to be one of Dr. Digi's design team members, and I know you do, email a link to your blog to doctordigi@doctor-digi.com and the design team and Dr. Digi will pick a winner in a couple of weeks!
