Seriously

The card is rather simple and self-explanatory but I do have important information to share with you that is crucial to your health. You might be aware of the fact that our skin is a cesspool of germs and that is why we are told to wash our hands after doing a host of activities. However, are you aware that the biggest, most neglected part of our body that is ground zero for all forms of microbe is our navel?  If you don't believe me, check out Belly Button Biodiversity Project and you will learn that our belly button is a "wildlife refuge for germs". People, listen up, you need to start scrubbing your navel!

May Day

Sunday, the first day of May, is May Day, the holiday that started back in ancient Babylon during sex and fertility rites. Young chicks would grab a ribbon and danced around a carved representation of a penis. Horrors!! Thank goodness I am part of the "now" generation and we have learned that we do not have to dance to become pregnant, all we need to do is drink the water -- which is why after five children, I switched to beer! Obviously, May Queen Penny from Stamping Dragon Designs is still under the impression dancing around the May Pole is what is necessary.

I used May Queen Penny for my inspiration card for the new challenge at Stamping with the Dragons that starts today. Since it is May and May brings flowers, we are to use flowers. However, I miss read the directions and thought it said "showers" so I took one. But I think May Queen Penny is going to slide under the wire since she is carrying lilies. You have two weeks to join the fun, first place winner receives their choice of four digis from Stamping Dragon Designs and the second place winner will be our Guest Design Team member. Please take the time and visit my fellow team members and see what they have created.

You're not over the hill yet.

Sunday was my oldest daughter's birthday. I have loads of wonderful stamps and digital images but nothing was coming together. Just in the nick of time, I hit pay dirt when one of my favorite online friends, Marlene of Disguised as a Grownup, gifted her followers with a belly laughing-out-loud freebie. Thank you Marlene, you saved the day. And by the way, yesterday Marlene had a terrific birthday sentiment available that you should definitely check out.

Introducing. . .

Meet Mr. Joc Key and his trusty mount, CBizKit. They are in training to win the Triple Tiara. So far, they have captured the Kentucky Bowler and the Freakness, next up is the Delmonico Stakes. Winning the Tiara, is the highest title for merry-go round horses.

As you might have guessed, CBizKit is one of Bonibleaux Designs new releases joining the Dude Time Doodles family today along with Benny Hanna, Cletus, Gladys Salt and Cactus Kirk. To see the other new releases, follow along on the blog hop and visit the other Dudettes to see more fun creations. The hop is a loop so you can start wherever you wish and just continue until you have seen them all. From here, the next stop is Ike, this month's guest designer. But before you go, join me in wishing CBizKit good luck. In case you get lost along the way, here is the list and don't forget we have a Mystery Hostess so leave some love along the way and you might win a prize.

Signs

I don't know about you, but some signs to me are an invitation to do just the opposite of what the sign is asking. Nine times out of ten, if I see a sign that boasts "wet paint" I am going to touch the surface just to be sure the sign is correct. The very same urge overcomes me when I see a sign that says" keep off the grass" that overwhelming urge prevails upon me to step on the grass.  When I saw Just Inlined's Daisy and Watson, I understood. And people think dogs are dumb!

Black and White Combo

It's my team's turn to offer inspiration for the new Squigglefly challenge that starts today. The object is to use a black and white combo which is much harder then I though. In fact, I had to add a minuscule touch of red, after all, what good is a ladybug if its not red, I guess it would just be a bug. Curious Kitty, by Nate Owens is available at Squigglefly.   To play along with us, use any image, although to be eligible for the prize, you must use a Squigglefly image. If you would like to try an image, check our the freebies that are available.

Bunny Treats

What does the Easter bunny leave little bunnies? Lots of green and leafy vegetables with yummy seasonings. "Juggling Bunny" is a brand-spank'n new release by Paulette Rich Long from Squigglefly.  And speaking of Squigglefly, another new artist, Charlotte Jones, is joining the Squigglefly family.

He's getting ready

Dear ole' Easter Bunny is just about ready to start hopping down the bunny trail. Interesting to note that "Decked out Easter Bunny" by Sassy Cheryl's does not need to check his list twice nor does he bother to find out who is naughty or nice, he just goes hippity-hoppity down the bunny trail spreading Easter joy.

Guinness Gwen

The latest edition of Dudeville Hollow Holla has just been released and once again, it is full of worthwhile information including "Advice for the Lovelorn" from the wise and voluptuous Gwendolyn Guinness Sassyknickers, of Bonibleaux Designs.  Gwen, is here today to share a Czech Proverb - - "A fine beer may be judged with only one sip, but it's better to be thoroughly sure." Have truer words ever been spoken?

Today is also the day that the Inspiration Challenge starts at Dude Time Doodles and you are invited to join in the fun.  You have until April 26 to use your imagination and post your creation at Dude Time Doodles using the inspiration provided below. Just remember to make it for a Dude and have fun.  If you have time, please visit the rest of the Dude Time Doodles' design team and for goodness sake, you need to read the newest edition of Dudeville Hollow Holla.

Old bunnies

Old bunnies don't die . . . we just lose our hop, so says Stella from Bugaboo Stamps. Obviously, I am not an old bunny inasmuch as I can still hop, I hop into the car frequently!

Coffee and Chocolate

Coffee and Chocolate is by Joy Hall, one of the new artists to join Squigglefly. I love the simplicity of this card and the thought that the recipient will know that I am thinking about her.

Today's new challenge at Squigglefly is the Workout! To play along, it is not necessary to use a Squigglefly image, but to win a prize, you must use a Squigglefly image. If you don't have an image, visit the store, or pick up one of the freebies, and show everyone how much you love your Squigglefly digital images by picking your favorite way to use them. You might just color them, combine images together, make your own background paper, or some other creative way that you use digital images.

Something to share with you on Palm Sunday.

Spring Bunny

Spring Bunny is one of the many sweet images available at Sassy Cheryl's for use this time of year. But I think with a little ingenuity a new placard could be made using a different sentiment such as "hello" or "get well".

KennyK Downloads Golfer

Back in the dark ages, I attempted to play golf. The more I played the game, the more I realized that I did not enjoy playing. I could not get the rationale of the number of the club in relationship to its use. I would much rather play basketball where there is one large ball, one fair sized target and the object was to keep bouncing the ball until you could make a shot. But I have a lot of friends that are avid golfers and I admire their tenacity to beat up on one tiny ball.

KennyK Downloads is our sponsor for the challenge starting today at Stamping with the Dragon and he has provide the design team with several images. I selected the Golfer to illustrate the "Sports" theme for the challenge. There will be four winners! KennyK Downloads is providing three digis for the first prize, second prize receives two digis and third place wins one digi. And don't forget that someone will become a guest design team member of Stamping Dragon Designs.

Visit the blogs of my team mates to see more fabulous sports themed digis created by KennyK Downloads.

Poor Gus

Poor Gus, he loves playing the Easter Bunny but at his age, well, sometimes he forgets where he hid the eggs -- can't image! BUT worse then forgetting where he hide the eggs, he forgets to hard boil the eggs. Gotta love Bugaboo Gus!

Jethro Jug

Can you tell that Jethro Jug has imbibed a little too much "juice" from his jug? Good ole Jethro is this month's freebie available at Dude Time Doodles. The winner for the April Freebie Challenge will be Dude Time Doodles' Guest Designer for the month of June.

Where's the chocolate?

When I first saw "Dusty Rabbit" as a freebie at JustInkLined, after I stopped laughing at the silly guy, I grabbed it. My luck was holding because several days later the awesome Marlooney had the perfect freebie sentiment posted on her blog to match. I think somebody's been drinking fermented carrot juice.

Pug Pasta

Can you see the shear delight on this pug's faced? I think not, probably because he thought he was going to get a large serving of pasta and instead received a toy that resembles pasta, hence, the Marlooney sentiment "Oh joy. Oh bliss." Pug Pasta, by Lynne Stansbery of Squigglefly, is resting on his bed made from a small piece of red fabric for this week's Squigglefly challenge hosted by Chelsea's team to use fabric or stitching. To play along, use a Squigglefly image and if you don't have a Squigglefly image, you can try a freebie available here.

Be sure to check out the rest of my team mates' blogs for more inspiration.

Super sweetness

Another fantastic freebie from Beccy's Place that I think personifies "sugar and spice and everything nice".  Thanks Beccy!

Versatile

Versatile by another name could be flexible, adaptable, or all-purpose and that is exactly what Easter Collection by Paulette Rich Young of Squigglefly brings you, versatility. On March 26, I shared one of the five  images from the set and today, more.  The first card is perfect for Easter but the bunny is adaptable for the use of the birth of a new baby boy.

Bunny in Pot

The Bunny in Pot is available at Stamping with the Dragon and I think it is a perfect digital image for Easter. I added white flocking to give it fur-appeal. Although the ribbon picks up all the colors in the paper, I wish now that I would have used the same color ribbon as is on the pot.

I am very happy to welcome Kevin and Tammy Louise to the Stamping with the Dragon design team family, please visit each of the team's blogs and when you get to Kevin and Tammy Louise's blog, give them a warm hello. Also, if you haven't joined in the current challenge, you have until April 14 to join.

April Birthdays

When I found this sweet image several weeks ago at Catch the Bug Challenge Blog as a freebie from Bugaboo Stamps, I though I struck gold. At the end of April, my oldest daughter and my granddaughter have a birthday within days of each other. Being the smart mother and grandmother that I am, instead of making two separate cards, I decide to use this as a birthday card for both of them since it has two candles. How economical is that not to mention postage. I cannot wait to spend all the money I saved.

Tiny Tequila

Tiny Tequila of Bonibleaux Designs, is on a crusade to inform the public that the "worm" found in tequila is actually the lava of a moth that lives on the agave plant. Tequila, first produced in the 16th century, is from the "pineapples" an agave plant produces.  The "worm" in tequila was introduced in 1940 as a gimmick, a long, long time after North America's first native distilled spirit, tequila, was made.

"Tiny" is also here to help introduce you to this month's sketch challenge at Dude Time Doodles. The winner will receive a $20.00 gift certificate from this month's  sponsor, PaperTemptress.  The rules are listed at Dude Time Doodles. Post your creation by April 12th for a chance to be the winner.  Stop by and see what the rest of the Dudettes have created just for you.

What a find

I was visiting blogs and visiting blogs from the blogs I visited. I ended up at Beccy's Place and what a find! She has fantastic creations, tutorials and freebies! Today's card is one of her creations that was begging me to download and color. Thanks Beccy!

Mrs. Murphy said

It's Monday, the start of a new week, and the start of a new challenge at Squiggelfly. The challenge "They're Only Words" can be background papers with wording, quotes, sentiment, whatever you wish. For inspiration and lots of eye candy, visit all of Vicki's team to see what they have created.

In the meantime, I am sharing with you a recent release,  Mrs. Murphyby Chesney Young of Squiggelfly.  You can tell by the way Mrs. Murphy raised her finger that she has some sage advice she is about to share. Her advice, "You cannot drink all day  . . . unless you start in the morning!" The fun sentiment, also available at Squigglefly, is by Marlene S., affectionately known as "Marlooney" and is available here.

Inside
Be sure to see what Vicki's team has created and remember "They're Only Words" and using a Squigglefly image could make you the winner. If you don't have a Squigglefly image check out the freebies available here.

Out like a lamb

Dawn, of Sunnyside Up, is hosting the latest "Tangled Up in Creativity" challenge for our blog group. The challenge is based upon "March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb." Unfortunately, in Central Pennsylvania, we are still waiting for the arrival of the lamb now that March is history. On the other hand, "April showers brings May flowers" is holding true. And I say "baaaaa"!

Happy Birthday Boni

Dance, Sing, It's Your Birthday!
Today is a very, VERY important day at Dude Time Doodles and the Dudettes have gathered to celebrate! Today is our super-duper founder, Boni's, birthday and we are having a BIRTHDAY PARTY BLOG HOP to honor her special day. Boni's very quiet about her age, but word on the street is that she's over twenty.

I invited Dancing Bear from Sassy Cheryl's to dance the birthday jig and when she is done dancing, she will be serving mimosas and assorted pastries on the patio but be sure to wear your coat, its cold.

Have a wonderful BIRTHDAY BONI and many more filled with good health, love and laughter! Love ya!

Hop along and see the rest of the birthday  celebration!

Mommy and baby ducks

It is time for a new challenge at Stamping with the Dragon. This time the challenge is to "use a household item"and if you are the winner, you will receive a $10.00 voucher to Aspire to Thrive Children's Charities Thrift Shop, located in South Australia. For those of us not living in South Australia, I am sharing with you the information that was sent to the design team of Stamping with the Dragon.

"Aspire To Thrive Children's Charities (was Incy Wincy Children's Charities - hence the challenge blog name) was started by a group of dart friends here in Elizabeth and Salisbury ,South Australia - who wanted to give something back to the community. A group of us have continued to do through out the last 2 years and we have been shown the amount of difficulty our society has towards children with special needs. There are a lot of charities out there who help children with terminal illnesses so we thought we could aim more towards learning and behavioral difficulties.

We are in talks now with a local kindergarten to see what we can do to help them. This would be a wonderful project and I hope with all my heart this goes ahead.

We have found an official home base now and are going from strength to strength.

ALL our work is voluntary and we get no ongoing assistance from anyone. We have gotten a few tiny grants to help with uniforms and equipment, for which we are grateful.

Our shop at www.aspiretothrive.com.au are donated drawings and ALL money (minus paypal costs) go directly into the charity.

We are grateful for any sales, help or donations (cards etc for our stalls)."

So there you have the scoop. Take your time, visit the each of the design team members  for inspiration and then create something using a household item -- I used black thread, aren't I clever? The challenge starts today and you have until April 14 to enter.
