Last Leg

We are on the last leg on my youngest daughter and her husband's visit before they leave for Okinawa, Japan for three years as a Marine family (not the amphibian kind but the kind that wear a uniform -- just to be clear).  Her journey makes me happy and very sad. Sad because three years is too long for a mother to be separated from her child (good thing I have four more at home) and happy because they are in for such a wonderful, exciting adventure that I will get to experience second-hand thanks to my awesome brother and his gift to me of a new computer with a webcam.  But hopefully, the good news for you is that you get to see more cards like the one I am sharing with you today.

  1. My heart goes out to you. I know just how you feel. :(

Beautiful card....and, that a new profile pic I spy???

  2. How exciting for your daughter and her family! I know that webcam will be getting a work out!!

What a wonderful card!! You need to enter it in the Friends of Speedy the Cat's friendship card challenge this week!!

  3. Lovely thoughts are with you...hope you enjoy the time together.

  4. My heart goes out to you girl..
This card is fabulous, love it.

  5. Precious card Tammy! Know how sad (and glad) you must be but hey, maybe you can go for a visit or two!! That'd be wonderful.

  6. Such a sweet card, I love the cute little house.

What a wonderful and thoughtful gift your brother has given you. Enjoy the time you have left with your daughter and family. Now you have an excuse to travel.

  7. Adorable card Tammy! I can't imagine how you must feel having to say goodbye! Just know we are here for you! And like you said your daughter is just a SKYPE away!

  8. What a great idea for your Cuttlebug embossing folder...this card is wonderful!!!

  9. Ohhh lovely new pic Tammy!! It's so hard to be seperated from your kids, but it sounds like a wonderful adventure for them.
    Beautiful card as always!
