The time has come for a new challenge at Stamping with the Dragon and sadly, it's my last challenge as a member of the design team. The challenge theme is fall colors and is being sponsored by Meljen's Designs. I picked Happy Fall to use as an inspiration and I hope that it prompts you into joining the challenge and possibly winning four images!
Thanks to everyone at Stamping Dragon Designs. Its been wonderful and I wish you all nothing but the best.

Gramps
Isn't Gramps from Just Inklined the cutest old gent! Besides tall, dark and handsome men, I also like them old but not crotchety. Doesn't Gramps look like Santa? Of course he's not, Santa wears red suspenders and he doesn't need a hearing aid silly!

Fanny She-Devil
If you are out and about, be very careful if you happen to see Fanny She-Devil because she is hot, hot, hot! It's hard to believe that the sweet all-time sufferer of flatus, Fanny Fart, has so many personalities but Marlene is revealing the She-Devil side of Fanny today at Dude Time Doodles! In fact, all of Bonibleaux Designs' new releases for September are being uncovered today and you can see each of them by going along the hop. It's a circle so you can begin anywhere. Be sure to leave love along the way because one of the Dudettes is the MYSTERY HOSTESS and your comment might win you a Dude Time Doodles image. If you arrived from Linda's blog your next hop is to Ginny's blog then keep going until you are back where you started. Hope you enjoy today's hop!
Here's looking at you!
I got the eyeball stamp at one of our local craft stores for a dollar. I'm sure its intended use is for a Halloween card but I couldn't help but stamp it twice and add a congratulatory sentiment. Silly but then laughter is right up my sleeve.

Twin Dollies
The new challenge at Squigglefly starts today with Heather and her Headliners driving the bus. The challenge is Floral Fantasy. We were asked to use flowers since they are given to celebrate many occasions and sometimes, just to say I love you. So let's see your flower either as the image or the embellishment. For my card, I used Twin Dollies by Lulu Lancaster of Squigglefly embellished with felt flowers.

New stamp
I purchased a new stamp, I know, what a surprise! I couldn't resist the stamp and I must say, I'm happy with the results I got by mixing it with a background stamp and a touch of alcohol ink distressing. Super simple!

Prima Ballerina
Today's card features one of the four images from Diane Knott's Prima Ballerina set available at Squigglefly. The image was printed on the amazing Cryogen White, my favorite cardstock to use when coloring with copics. Pop Tone Cotton Candy is what I used for the background. Both the Cryogen White and the Cotton Candy are available at PaperTempress.

Halloween Cat
I love to watch videos about making cards and after I watched Lisa Spangler from Hero Arts create a spooky trifold window card, I had to try it. For my trifold card I used Halloween Cat from Stamping Dragon Designs which by the way is free right now, just in time for Halloween. The other stamps that I used inside my card are dollar stamps that I've purchased over the years.
Don't forget to visit my fellow teammates from Stamping with the Dragon and you still have time to post your 3D entry for the current challenge.

Fall leaves
I do love to play and for today's card, instead of ink I played with bleach and stamped leaves on Emerald Green cardstock. Once the bleach changed the color of the cardstock, I colored the leaves with chalk and mounted it onto Canyon Brown Skinny Columns cardstock then added Copper Mica/Metallic for a little contrast. I tied a piece of yarn I found at a yard sale several years ago to finish the card. All of the cardstock is available at PaperTemptress.
Yesterday I had to do a few errands that took me to the mall. As I'm walking along I see a machine that said 75 MPH Hurricane. Curious I took a closer look and learned that for just $2.00, you can stand inside a tube and feel 75 MPH wind. No one was around that I could ask, why would I??

My Hero
Today begins the new inspiration challenge at Dude Time Doodles. Besides having pretty colors to pick from it also has the theme, "Heroes". You definitely want to visit the Dudettes' for amazing inspiration and creativity!
Before you continue on, let me tell you about MY HERO. According to the dictionary, a hero is admired or idealized for courage and that is the definition that reflects my feelings forf my dear friend who is undauntedly fighting a war with ovarian cancer that threatens her life. I love her dearly, she's My Hero as well as a mother, grandmother, champion of champions, friend to all and so much more.
I used the Breast Cancer Awareness Girl from Bonibleaux Designs and instead of coloring it pink, I used teal, the color of ribbon that signifies ovarian cancer and coincidently, September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness month. Sadly, until cancer is conquered the roll of colored ribbons listed below will continue to grow.
Yellow - Bladder cancer

Marriage
I have a solid, unyielding belief that marriage is a partnership and it should be thought of in terms of you give and I take. What's yours is mine and what's mine, is mine. There is no wiggle room for argument, that's what I believe. So when my sweet friend, Marlene, introduce "Hand it Over" at Dude Time Doodles, it was an instant affirmation of my belief.

Beary Scary
So glad you stopped by today for the start of the new challenge at Squigglefly with Marlene's Marvels providing you the inspiration for the week. The challenge is a sketch challenge so stop by Squigglefly for the details. In the meantime, I'm playing along and I used Squigglefly's sweet Shy Bear - Beary Scary by Lynne Stansbery. Hope you have time to play this week!

Here comes the girls - Lucy and time to pick a winner
I think I probably mentioned before that if you have the good fortune of knowing my youngest daughter, Alecia, you are very aware of her absolute love and obsession for Lucille Ball. Since she is the only one in the family with the "I love Lucy" fixation, I'm satisfied it's not genetic or contagious but in many respects, controlling. So when Just Inklined recently released, Jo, Alice 2, Penny, and Lucy, my daughter's mania took control and I picked Lucy. As you can see, there is no resemblance to Alecia's "Lucy" but "Lucy's" body definitely resembles mine!
In other business, the Just Inklined's design team recently held a blog hop featuring Wacky Wheelz and each designer promised to pick a winner from their blog. I placed each commenter's name in a bowl, mixed them up and drew JENN ZEEB. Please contact me Jenn so I can get you the Wacky Wheelz's image that I used. And thanks to all that left me a comment.

Clogged gray matter
I decided to take Jennifer McGuire's new online classes and today's card is my attempt at one of the techniques. If I knew which one it was, I would tell you however, too much information is clogging the gray matter to sort through!

Purfect Love
Just in case you are wondering, I did not misspell "purfect" it's the name of the image that I used today for Stamping with the Dragon's new challenge. The challenge is 3D Decoupage and the sponsor is Stamping Dragon Designs. The lucky winner will receive four images of their choice.
Purfect Love is one of the new pre-colored decoupage sheets available at Stamping Dragon Designs. I used a stamp I have to add the sentiment "congratulations, you make the perfect couple". Sorry, it is not part of the sheet.
Be sure to visit my Stamping With the Dragon teammates' blogs to see what they've created using the decoupage sheets.

Pretty Paper
Did you know that a cardmaker's brain is divided into specific sections? The region of the gray matter that I relate to today is that part that takes up a large portion as well as our craft space/storage and that is the paper area. Cardmakers love everything about paper. We revel in its size, shape, weight, texture and color. What is really amazing is the lengths we go to change its size, shape, texture and color! On the downside, there is the offshoot of that very same area that cringes each time the said paper is cut. But ask yourself, wouldn't the world be boring if no attempt was ever made to change the appearance of paper?

Billy Bat
Goodness, the ghouls and goblins are starting to stretch and groan preparing for this year's Halloween hauntings. Billy Bat by Bonibleaux Designs is practicing swoops and dives while he waits for you to grab him from Dude Time Doodles for this month's Freebie/Guest Designer Challenge! Just be careful you do not nick yourself when you do because Billy faints at the sight of blood!

If you were sick, wouldn't you feel better if the adorable Nurse Daisy from Just Inklined arrived at your door to cheer you! I love this little gal, yellow boots and all!

Party Animals
Time for Heather's Headliners of Squigglefly to challenge you in the second part of our Color Challenge, this time, you are to use red and orange. Lucky for me at the perfect moment, Janet Jones' new image, Party Animals, made its debut just in time to help me celebrate my twin granddaughter's sixth birthday as well!
The difference between the two cards may not be obvious to you but trust me, my granddaughters instantly recognized their card because one elephant is carrying two orange packages and a vanilla cake since it's one of the girl's favorite and the other elephant is carrying red packages and a chocolate cake because that's the other one's favorite!
So your challenge is to make a card using a Squigglefly image plus red and orange to win the second part of the Color Challenge. If you do not have a Squigglefly image, try one of their many freebies. And speaking of Squigglefly, are you aware there is a rewards program that gives you one free image for every $15.00 you spend. Not a member of the rewards program, no problem, sign up here.

Worry, worry!
What a week we've had in Harrisburg! Thanks to a tropical storm that dumped over 15 inches of rain in a couple of days, the beautiful and mighty Susquehanna River couldn't help but overflow its banks causing severe flooding, power outages, and people being evacuated to safety. Thankfully, the extra rain that was predicted did not make it so the river crested at 25.2 feet instead of 29 feet, unfortunately flood stage is 17 feet. So today's card is very appropriate for Harrisburg and thanks to my creative friend Marlene and her wonderful freebies, I can share relevant words of wisdom with you!

Baby Giraffe
Meet Baby Giraffe from Stamping Dragon Designs. I guess I could have colored him in giraffe-like colors but I decided he was too cute not to be used as a card for a baby boy.

Wacky-Wheelz 2CV
Welcome to the Wacky-Wheelz Blog Hop that Just Inklined is hosting today. I used Wacky-Wheelz Digi Pack 2CV and this downloadable product contains one colored and one outlined print of the car (I colored mine), four colored "blue prints" (blue, sepia, green and grey), seventeen text sentiments and ten embellishments in color and outline!
If you arrived from Jak's blog then next you hop to Toni's blog. Each of the Wacky-Wheelz' images are amazing so you truly do not want to miss one. Be sure to leave us a comment because we are all awarding a prize!

Skateboarding
Since the beginning of time, man has held a special fascination for wheels, especially wheels that could be used to make toys. Sometime in the early 1940's surfers in California needed a ride when the waves were flat and the skateboard was invented.
Bonibleaux Designs had other ideas for the use of the skateboard and gave us Skip SK8r and in turn, I am using him to provide inspiration for this month's sketch challenge at Dude Time Doodles. For more details, please visit Dude Time Doodles as well as my fellow Dudettes for more inspiration.

Ted Tight End
I know zilch, zero, nada about football, and I have no desire to learn. The only thing that vaguely sparks any interest for me is the colors of the uniform of the various teams. Even though I am not an enthusiast, that doesn't stop me from the merriments of being an Eagles fan! To show my support, I used Ted Tight End one of the new releases from Bonibleaux Designs.

Happy Labor Day
Happy Labor Day everyone! Hope you are having a wonderful day and doing something fun while you enjoy some extra time away from work!
Marlene's Marvels are hosting this week's challenge at Squigglefly. The challenge is a Color Bowl challenge to use colors from the blues and green families, aqua, turquoise, navy, jade, emerald or any other shade of blue or green you might think of. I played along and used Another Birthday by Joy Hall of Squigglefly. Hope you find some time while you are crafting to play along!

Another Simple Sunday
Each Monday morning, I tell myself that I need to make something special for Sunday's post since I've been slacking. Alas, my intentions were good, but life sidetracked me so, it's another Simple Sunday! There is always next week --- maybe!
Hope everyone has a wonderful and safe holiday!

I've been borrowed, yippee!
Stamping Dragon Designs and Bugaboo Stamps decided to borrow two design team members from each other's team to create inspiration for their new challenges. When the opportunity presented itself I did not hesitate, I immediately volunteered because you know how much I love Stella and her sassy wit! Lucky for me that I was able to knockdown the other volunteers except Kevin (because he's bigger than me, I let him go first) and the rest is history and I am so happy!
Bugaboo's, challenge blog, Catch the Bug, is hosting an Anything Goes challenge that starts today. To assist me, I used Stella Peeker - Search and Rescue. Doesn't Stella's tongue-in-cheek quips make you laugh!
By the way, if I broke anybody's bones in my mad dash, I apologize!

Occupations
Please read through the entire post, there is an important Public Service Announcement at the end.
Today kicks off another challenge at Stamping with the Dragon. In honor of Labor Day (women who suffered through labor, this day is not for you, your day is in May), the theme is occupations. Create a card or project for someone in the working field. Our sponsor, Bugaboo Stamps, will award the winner with seven images from their store!
I used Bugaboo Stamps' Occupation Bear Teacher since its that time of year when kids return to school and teachers start tearing their hair out! Teachers deserve tons of praise considering all the time that they must spend before, during, and after school to educate our children! To teachers everywhere, I salute you. Please take the time and visit the other designers of Stamping with the Dragons and then join the challenge.
Before you go, the very important Public Service Announcement -- you have until Labor Day, Monday, September 5th to wear white shoes!

Douglas and Dougal McDougall
Ask any Scotsman, what is worn under their kilt and the reply will be, "Nothing! Everything's in good working order!
Douglas McDougall (the braggart) and Dougal McDougall (hugging the bagpipe) are the only Scotsmen I have ever met up close and personal. Both images were recently released by Just Inklined and at first sight they triggered my funny bone.
With the assistance of Photoshop Elements, I combined the two images into one and I was able to enlarge Douglas McDougall's Tam o' Shanter and hang it on the sentiment. One more reason why I love, love digis!
For those inquiring minds that want to know, I absolutely did not peek under their kilts!
