Snow Predicted

The weatherman has issued a storm watch for our area forecasting the possibility of 6 to 10 inches of snow starting today and ending tomorrow. Of course, that depends on how the storm tracks which translates to a few flurries. Since yesterday was Christmas and the grocery stores were closed, today they will be mobbed with shoppers hoarding bread, milk, and toilet paper. I can understand wanting to have extra bread and milk but toilet paper? Why toilet paper? In all the years that I have been on this sweet earth, I have never understood the need for additional toilet paper during a snowstorm.

In the meantime, while the shoppers shop, Mrs. Snowman was nagging her husband, Mr. Snowman, to move to Florida to get away from the cold. Finally, he acquiesced to her pleas and they moved to a retirement village with a fitness center, sauna,  tennis courts and an olympic size swimming pool near the Gulf of Mexico. Squigglefly was able to reproduce their watery remains after they relocated to a warmer climate.  Now its Mr. Snowman's turn to complain.

  1. It's snow where you are Tammy and it is rain where I am. We have had 200mm in 3 days and it is predicted that over 200mm more may fall tonight. If that is the case our region will be looking at major flooding and as this is a tourist area right now that will be disastrous.

The toilet paper, I have a theory for but maybe not for this blog! LOL!

I really enjoy your stories for your cards they never fail to cheer me.

  2. What a fun card...we have snow forecast for here tonight and tomorrow...I've never understood the hoarding thing before a 1 or 2 day snow storm but they do it here too. It would have to snow heavily for several weeks here before I ran out of toilet paper!
