Just Inklined Digi Print JI-020

Two days in a row I'm featuring clothes, maybe my subconscious is telling me to go buy a new dress even though I never wear dresses now that I am retired. Most days I change from pajamas to comfy clothes. Not so on the one and only soap opera that I watch. Just Inklined's gorgeous gown, one of the four images from Digi Print JI-020, is something the ladies of my soap would wear to the office!  And then again, the ladies on my soap also have cleavage!

Vintage Corset and Pantaloons

This beautiful image from Digi Doodle Shop is Vintage Corset & Pantaloon and can be found in Shop by Type and Style - Vintage. I used the image for the new Digi Doodle Shop challenge that starts today asking for Embossing and if you win, you receive a $10 gift certificate to the store, but you must enter, no excuses, we all emboss! And before you ask, I never wore a corset and/or pantaloons, just want to set the record straight and, I might add, I am very thankful.

Count Vladimir

Today starts the monthly Guest Designer / Freebie Challenge at Dude Time Doodles. The freebie this month is Count Vladimir and although he is a distant, distant, way back when cousin to Count Dracula, the family resemblance is obvious. Sadly, Count Vladimir cannot find a girlfriend because of his toothy grin and the bad name his distant, distant way back when cousin bestowed on his clan!

Momma's Little Clown

As a mother of five, I often used the expression "stop clowning around and behave" all the while laughing under my breath and thinking, aren't they cute! But if you saw your child or any child, dressed like Sassy Cheryl's sweet image, Momma's Little Clown, you couldn't help but laugh out loud!

Thank You Tree

Finally! Today is the day that Squigglefly launches a new year of challenges. Ronda's Rowdy Rascals starts us off with a challenge for thank you cards. If you need a suggestion for an image that's quick, easy and says thank you in many languages, consider Thank You Tree by Michelle Bertuzzi of Squigglefly!

My Punny Valentine Three - Day 2

Didn't I tell you yesterday that I was having a Squigglefly week with My Punny Valentine Set Three by Lynne Stansbery? I think of the three images this is my favorite probably because I have often stepped into bubblegum and other "stuff" (if you get my drift). If you would like to see the image that rounds off this set, please visit Holly, she is the superglue of Squigglefly!

My Punny Valentine Set Three

I am definitely having a Squigglefly week enjoying some of the new images that are being released today! For my card, I used My Punny Valentine Set Three by Lynne Stansbery. Hope you have a chance to see all the new releases as well as welcome three new artists to the Squigglefly family!

Cat Lady

I'm starting to think of myself just like this zany Cat Lady image from Just Inklined, too many cats! Recently our neighborhood seems to be the dumping ground for unwanted cats and since I cannot bear to see an animal starve to death, they migrate to my porch for food and water. As long as the cats remain on the front porch and only long enough to eat and drink, and they do not go into their backyard, my goldens are okay with sharing our home!

One stray cat has not found its way to my house but obviously, it is keeping warm on the roof of a nearby neighbor's garage. The ingenuity of animals always amazes me and we think we're smarter!

Teddy Bear

New year, new challenges at Digi Doodle Shop and this week's challenge is New Beginnings! For my inspiration, I used Teddy Bear to create a card to welcome a new baby. Teddy Bear is easily found in the "Shop by Type and Style - On the Fun Side" at Digi Doodle Shop. And while you're visiting the store, be sure to check out the NEW rewards point program and the 99¢ category! Hope you will join us for the New Beginnings challenge and a chance to win a $10 gift certificate to the store!

Just Two Crazy Ole Gal Friends

I love, love the soon-to-be-released image by one of Squigglefly's artists, Lynne Stansbery, appropriately titled, Just Two Crazy Ole Gal Friends! Even the sentiment that comes with the image makes me smile! Who knew that growing older with a wonderful friend could be such fun? The image and sentiment will be released on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Squigglefly!

Internet Dater

We all know the rule, buyer beware, but for persons who participate in the internet dating groups, there is an ever more important rule, believe nothing! Internet Dater by Marlene available at Bonibleaux Designs, is a typical example of a man trying to start a budding online romance. He describes himself *snort* in a light that only he can see. Don't worry, the response he receives will be equally deceptive starting with her measurements!

Internet Dater is my inspiration for the new Anything Goes challenge that starts today at Dude Time Doodles.  I hope now that the holidays are over you have time to join the fun!

January Quilt

January Quilt is by Cheryl Alger and available at Squigglefly. The quilt,
is a reminder of the long winter nights we must face before spring.

Sickly Sam

Bringing in the new year with too much partying makes for one Sickly Sam! Sickly Sam is by Marlene and is available at Squigglefly. And speaking of Squigglefly, the new teams will begin new challenges next Monday, January 9, 2012.

HAPPY 2012!

I sincerely wish you a healthy, happy and prosperous 2012!
