Cherry Blossom

I am so very happy to be back and doing what I love, making cards! For my card today I used the beautiful Cherry Blossom from Just Inklined.

Thank you for your wonderful cards and caring comments. It's a been a long haul but I am able to see the light at the end of the tunnel.  I've been using the walker less and less and at last I can manage to go up and down the stairs. All of my crafting goodies live in the basement and when I was finally able to visit them and have a play, it was like Christmas! I still have a hard time sitting but I am definitely on the mend and very thankful!

Just like Dorothy, I've been to Oz!

Sorry that I do not have a card to share with you today but I did want to check in with you and let you know that just like Dorothy, I've been to Oz by way of a freak accident! I was holding the door open for my beautiful goldens to come into the house when a strong gust of wind came along and literally swept me off my feet and sent me airborne onto very hard cement landing with full impact on my knee. After a trip to the hospital x-rays confirm that thankfully I do not have any broken bones, just many large and colorful black and blue marks. I'm listening to the doctor by resting my leg and keeping it iced. So  hopefully I'll be back to posting soon! In the meantime, watch out for those strong winds unless you want to take a trip through the air!

Hello and welcome to this week's Squigglefly Challenge hosted by Holley's Hobbyists! I liked Dr. Digi's House of Stamps fun Prezzie so much that I decided to turn it into a super-sized shape card and load it with cash! Great way to give a gift!

Just following my nose during playtime mixing and matching papers and dies! 

Eclipse Black and Gold

Here is a recipe for a very simple card, measure a piece of RC Eclipse Black 100# cardstock to fit the front of your card and dry embossed it for texture.  Also cut an extra piece to stamp, cut and gold emboss flowers and a sentiment. For a touch of dramatics, cut a circle from Laser Gold Glossy Lustre cardstock. Once these steps are completed assemble the card, give it to the intended recipient and then wait for the smile! Be sure you use cardstock from the PaperTemptress for the very best results!

Cricket Derek

Oh Shoot! Dr. Digi's House of Stamps' famous Cricket Derek did it again! He was responsible for marking the field for the annual cricket match at the local senior citizens home, one that he was really looking forward to inasmuch as the entire women's' volleyball team agreed to attend and cheer his team on.  Instead of making nice straight lines, Derek zigged when he should have zagged!

Celebration Cupcake

Happy first day of March and may our weather improve 100%! Between friends and family, I need several birthday cards this month so I decided to get the ball rolling with Celebration Cupcake from Squigglefly artist, Pamela Lehto! The background was created using the Falling Hearts stencil, a gift from my good friend Creative Crafts by Lynn, thanks Lynn, and white embossing paste covered with red embossing powder.
