Just Because

I love looking at blogs and filling up my inspiration bucket. On a recent visit to my blogging friend, Joan Ervin at Stamping with a Passion, I was inspired to create today's card after seeing what she had made using a die I recently purchased.  I changed it up a little, hopefully to inspire someone else!

Nero and Lustre

Creating beautiful cards with an interesting focal point is easy when you start with gorgeous cardstock from The PaperTemptress. For my card I used the shimmery incandescent Nero cardstock and embossed my image on nondescript black cardstock mounted on laser gold glossy Lustre. Easy!

Empty Pockets Shrugger

Noah's Big Heart

Each Monday Squigglefly has a new challenge and this week it is hosted by Holley's Hobbyists and we need to Get in Shape! Create a card in any shape but the standard A2, so it could be a circle, a tall card, a square card, a die cut card or surprise us! For my heart-shaped card I used the adorable Noah's Big Heart by Squigglefly's artist, Cheryl Alger. You have one week to participate but remember to use a Squigglefly image to be eligible to win. Morris and Mildred

The newlyweds, Morris and Mildred from Dr. Dig's House of Stamps, are having their picture taken after tying the knot! While Morris is a little shellshocked by the ordeal, Mildred is pleased with the wedding celebration and loves being the center of attention!  Mildred is not concerned about the price tag of the festivities since she is expecting Morris to cough up the entire amount. Morris on the other hand plans to indulge in many shots of bourbon to give him courage to tell Mildred he is flat broke! Morris should skip the booze and head straight to Mexico, far, far away from Mildred!

Dropwort

For today's card, I used the delicate Dropwort from Janey's Digi Designs. I must confess that in all my young years I've never heard of this beautiful flower and it doesn't seem to be available in my area. I'm curious if you reside in the United States do they grow where you live?

Last Dance

Today's card features the delightful image Last Dance from The Best of Just Inklined CD ROM. Life is better when its fun and if put on your dancing shoes and share a little bubbly you will have fun too!

My Doggie

Recently I have found myself wrapping my arms arounds my beautiful goldens many times seeking comfort after losing two very dear friends within ten days of each other and My Doggie from Squigglefly's wonderfully talented artist, Lynne Stansbery, seemed to convey my feelings. The sweet image comes with four sentiments which is exactly what you need to participate in this week's Squigglefly's Challenge hosted by Rhonda's Rowdy Rascals to use a Squigglefly sentiment! So come on, join the fun!

Headless

I wish I could take credit for creating the sentiment and using Headless from Dr. Digi's House of Stamps to create this fun birthday card but I can't. I did however make the buckle all by my little self. The credit goes to Chrissy including the bellyache I got from laughing at her wonderful card using Headless!

Hoedown Bonnie

Heehaw, Just Inklined is having a Cotton Pickin Digi Hoedown to celebrate the new western theme images that have been released! I used Hoedown Bonnie for my card and she's got the right idea when it comes to cowboys, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do to get the job done! For today's card I used Poetry Books, another beautiful image from The Best of Just Inklined's CD ROM.  The CD is full of wonderful images and papers for any occasion imaginable and it's on sale! Feet Up and a Cuppa

Today we find Feet Up and a Cuppa from Dr. Digi's House of Stamps relaxing while waiting for the Super Bowl to begin! Too bad his daughter-in-law forgot to tell him that forty members of her opera club would be arriving at game time to start rehearsing for the upcoming spring concert! Poor Ambrose, he's going to need something other than tea in his cup!

How about some happy news? Meet Baby, a six year-old Golden Retriever whose former humans had to find a new home for her and guess where she's living?  If you guessed my house, you are absolutely correct and what a perfect addition to our family!

We all have days when we need a gentle reminder to 'hang in there'!  I think Just Inklined's adorable Swinging Kitty, available on The Best of Just Inklined 2012 CD ROM, is a great way to remind someone you are there to help them do so! And my dear friends, here's a reminder for you, tomorrow, February 2 is Groundhog Day!
