It's Monday, time for a new Squigglefly challenge and the challenge comes from Marlene to the Marvels to "tickle my fancy" and make me laugh! What better way to make Marlene laugh but to use one of her images so I used Pizza Chef Mitch available at Squigglefly in my effort to bring on a giggle. Hope you visit all of the Marvels to see what they've created to "tickle my fancy" and once you have, its your turn!
In case you didn't know, Halloween has finally arrived and we can all help ourselves to the candy we've been hoarding but save some for the trick or treaters! Happy Halloween!

Getting Ready for Halloween
I'm sure it will be no great surprise to you that witches do laundry, they might not take baths or showers, but their clothes must be clean otherwise, dirt and grime sticks to the fabric and inhibits airflow reducing their speed when flying. As witnessed by getting ready for Halloween from Just Some Lines, even the cat gets washed - - unhappily!

Witches Broom
Halloween is but a few days away and all the little ghosts and goblins are busy washing and ironing their sheets and the little witches are grooming their brooms for the midnight ride when the moon is full and big black bats are swarming. I will be sound asleep but this little Sassy Cheryl's Digi, Witches Broom, will be riding high in the night sky.

R.I.P.
Each year more dogs are getting involved with Halloween. However, this pooch, Rest in Pee, from Just Inklined, has taken it upon himself to let the world know his standpoint!

Sleepy and Grumpy from the 7 Dwarfkins
Last week I shared Bashful, one of the 7 Dwarfkins from the Digi Doodles Shop. Today I am back with two more of the clan from the seven piece set, Sleepy and Grumpy. I paper pieced the pumpkins for the Anything Goes Challenge that starts today at Digi Doodles. When it comes to challenges, it doesn't get much easier than Anything Goes, and if your creation is the winner, you will receive a $10 gift certificate for the Digi Doodles Shop. While you are thinking about what you are going to enter, treat yourself to more great creations from the design team by visiting each of their blogs!

Fanny Thanks
Hi all, if you are here for Dude Time Doodles New Release Blog Hop and you've arrived from Kevin's blog, you are nearly done and I know you are probably holding your sides from laughing at the new images debuting at Bonibleaux Designs. I hope you have remember to leave a comment at each of the team's blogs since one of us is the mystery hostess.
Before I tell you about my card, I wish to extend a "see you later alligator" send off to Lynn, Chrissy and NanaConnie since they have decided to step down from the team and to thank them for being part of the Dude Time Doodles family. As we say farewell to them, we say hello to Kevin! It's official, Kevin, has decided to live dangerously and become our full-time, real life "Dude"! Welcome to our happy family Kevin!
So, what can I tell you about Fanny Turkey? I think it is easy to see that Fanny is extending her wishes for a wonderful Thanksgiving. But what you can't see unless you open the card is the rest of Fanny's sentiment about the day which is . . . "without the nasty turkey farts"! Oh Fanny, always the lady!
Time for you to hop over and see what Ginny has created for you. If you started at my blog, just keep going and visit us all.

Witches Trick
Witches Trick from Mo's Digital Pencil Shop is remise of Hansel and Gretel. If I had reread the story, I would have known to created a house of confections instead of wood. Oh well, just goes to show you that after the age of six, you cannot trust your memory!

Saying Thanks
It's Monday so that means it's time for this week's challenge at Squigglefly, Saying Thanks. I used the newly released Apple Season by Deena Perreault.
I wish I had this card with me yesterday as I was maneuvering the isles and ducking traffic at the grocery store. I ran smack into hanging shelves containing a bazillion cans of cheese spread with color-coded lids. At least three-quarters of them either landed on the floor or into my cart minus their caps. Regardless, there were a ton of cans that needed to be return to the shelves with the correct colored cap. I am so very grateful to the young man who took the time from his shopping to helped me and I might add, he was very easy on the eyes as well.
Did you know that since it is close to Halloween, Squigglefly is giving away a "bag full of treats" to three lucky people! From now until October 31st, each digi purchased at Squigglefly will automatically enter the buyer into a drawing for one of three prizes! The winners will be announced on November 1st US CST at Squigglefly's blog.
1st prize - $50 of free digis from Squigglefly.com
2nd prize - $35 of free digis from Squigglefly.com
3rd prize - $20 of free digis from Squigglefly.com
So there you have it. Be sure to visit all of Heather's Headliners and our special guest, Kathy, to see how they are "Saying Thanks" and then it's your turn to show us your creation expressing thanks.

Colonel Creepy
Colonel Creepy has a problem. He has a very special ribbon that goes around his neck that secures his head to the rest of his body. Last night he was at the local karaoke bar singing and rocking his night away when he began to perspire. Thinking he was only loosening his tie, he pulled off the ribbon and later in the evening while he was doing the limbo, off fell his head. So if you see his ribbon please send it to: Colonel Creepy care of Bonibleaux Designs. If it is the correct ribbon, you will receive the reward! Express mail is preferred since the Colonel's head is very heavy and he cannot see where he is going.

Frankie Stein
Frankie Stein from Bonibleaux Designs was looking forward to trick or treating this year dressed in traditional black. Unfortunately, Frankie's crazy mummy read in one of the fashion magazines that black is out and pink is in. Instead of discussing it with Frankie, crazy mummy burned his black suit and purchased him a pink jumpsuit with a matching jacket. Frankie turned beet-red with anger and it hasn't changed!

Clean Sweep
In April, our local witch took out a small loan and purchased a new broom for her upcoming Halloween ride. According to the owner's manual, it was important to put the broom somewhere spiders could spin webs on it to charge the batteries. Since the broom has only collected one web, there is concern that she will not get to the end of her driveway. If you are in the market for a new broom, this model is Clean Sweep and can be purchased at Just Inklined!

The 7 Dwarfkins minus 6
If you like entering challenges, Digi Doodles has a new challenge that starts today that is so easy and perfect for the Halloween season. The challenge is to use green and purple! I happen to love the color combination of green and purple and if you add orange to the mix you are in Halloween mode. My card features "Bashful" one of the 7 Dwarfkins in the set from Digi Doodle. I love this guy's sweet expression, it's a look that means one thing, he has successfully passed gas without anyone noticing!
Treat yourself and take the time to visit my teammates' blogs for more inspiration and then it's your turn to treat us!

Fanny Bunny
I feel that I must tell you before you get the wrong impression that I am NOT on Marlene's payroll! I just happen to enjoy her creations because they fit my sense of humor. So with that being said, I can tell you that Marlene's Fanny Bunny, is available at Dude Time Doodles, and I used her to help enlist you in their new Inspiration Challenge that starts today. Please visit Dude Time Doodles for the details about the challenge and join us as we continue to think pink all month in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. Don't forget to visit all of the Dudettes and our special "Dude" for more incentive.

Face your fears!
Marlene has charged her Marvels to "Face Your Fears" in this week's Squigglefly challenge. Since it's not my challenge I don't need to face my fears but I thought I would help my friend Marlene overcome her fear of spiders with a super-sized hairy one! To assist me, I used Funky Spider by Cheryl Alger from Squigglefly! Hope it helps!
Swimming for Katie
It is very humbling to join the hundreds of crafters that have stretch their arms across the globe in an effort to support, encourage and raise funds for Katie Renzie, a young mother and fellow stamper, who is currently battling inoperable gastric cancer. If you're not familiar with her, Katie’s cancer story started just before Christmas last year. This young, beautiful, healthy, vibrant mother of 3 with her infectious smile was suddenly diagnosed with an inoperable cancer, virtually overnight. A few tummy aches and then stage 4 gastric cancer. Her first post about it is here. The idea of “Swimming for Katie” came from her recent post here.
This exclusive stamp used in my sample, designed by Becky Oehlers is available as a clear stamp, as well as a digis or a dig and SVG cut file. 100% of the profits go to Katie's fund to help her and her young family. Her husband Kevin and her three young children need our help and support. In addition to the Keep Swimming Octopus, Marianne Walker and True =D Doodle Designs both also donated digis that are for sale. Direct donations are also being accepted.
Keep Swimming Octopus Peachy Clear stamp $5.50 with free shipping | Keep Swimming Octopus DIGIstamp $3.00 with instant download | Keep Swimming Octopus DIGIstamp with SVG cut file $3.50 with instant download | Keep Swimming Mermaid DIGIstamp $3.50 with instant download | Keep Swimming Ribbon Fish DIGIstamp and DIGIpapers $5.00 with instant download |
I hope you will join me in supporting Katie through a purchase or donation. The following is a list of everyone who has projects posted today. I hope you will be inspired by them and moved to purchase or donate. Thank you!

Sunshine Yellow
I must confess that I did not come up with the idea for today's on my own but from someone in blogland. I apologize that I do not know the name of that person. For my card, I cut two circles from a piece of transparency that I swiped from clear stamps. I used droplets of different colored alcohol ink and a few drops of glossy accents on the transparencies and created a sandwich with the second piece of transparency and squished it together blending the colors. After I made the sandwich, I stamped an image on top. I cut a third circle out of Cryogen white cardstock and stamped a background that I distressed and using a few drops of glossy accents adhered it to the back of the transparencies. To finish the card, I mounted the three sandwiched circles on Sunshine Yellow cardstock and topped it off with a black embossed butterfly on Cryogen white cardstock and colored with more alcohol ink. I hope my description doesn't sound difficult or confusing. It was rather simple to make and I hope you to give it a try. All the cardstock used in my card is from PaperTemptress.

A Good Read
I know what you are thinking when you see this card, another witch mixing a brew. Maybe a concoction that will make someone fall in love with her? Maybe a potion that will make her rich? Or how about a preparation that will make her beautiful? Well, sorry my friends, you are wrong. This witch is suffering from constipation and she's preparing a laxative! Bet you weren't thinking that!
This fun image, A Good Read is from Just Inklined. I love their images. Somehow they just fit my warped sense of humor!

Eyegor
Its freebie time at Dude Time Doodles and you must admit, Eyegor is unique! Poor chap, his "mummy" wanted a daughter so badly that she did nothing while she was expecting her bundle of joy but sit around and wish that her sweet baby would be pink. Well, she got half of her wish, she got a one-eyed bundle of joy with pink fuzzy hairy shoulders. Otherwise, he's perfectly normal!
Run over to Dude Time Doodles and grab Eyegor and color him however you wish but be sure you add pink somewhere on your creation in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month. The winner will be November's guest design team member.

A dog's revenge
Marlene has done it again, she created a freebie that I had to have. But so you know, it's not that I dislike cats, its just that dogs are capable of getting into mischief all by themselves, they do not need a cat to instigate trouble. So it's nice to see this quirky pup get its revenge! Besides, if you follow Marlene, you already know that the next day, the cat turned the table on the dog and as they say, paybacks are tough!

Nerdy Witch Girl
Unlike the witch from yesterday that couldn't help that she was purple, Nerdy Witch Girl by Marlene is simply obsessed with the color and refuses her sorceress mother's request for her to wear black, the appropriate color. Thanks goodness she tolerates lime green and that pumpkins are orange otherwise she wouldn't match the stripes and without the stripes, the card would not measure up to this week's challenge at Squigglefly "Yippees Stripes"! One last thing about this sweet miss, she tripped the boy-devil from down the street while they were racing to ring the next doorbell to get that treat.
Please visit all of Heather's Headliners, to see the inspiration they are providing using stripes and if you are looking for cute Halloween images, Marlene has several at Squigglefly along with many of their other artists.
And by the way, Happy Columbus Day!

Looking back
Today seemed like a good day to look back and share a Halloween card and story that I posted last year.
This poor little witch tried hard to hide her heritage, but when your head is glaring purple and the biggest part of your body, it is difficult to conceal. To avoid sneers and jeers she has moved away from the neighborhood into the old witch's retirement home. Next to all the grizzled pea-green hags, she's a real beauty and is slowly regaining her self-esteem.

My brother and his wife are visiting from Boulder, Colorado, to attend his 50th class reunion. I know, it hard for me to believe that my brother is that old but he is. Good to be the younger sister!

Bud Zombie
Meet Bud Zombie from Just Inklined, isn't he . . . well, what can I say? Actually Bud is not a zombie at all. Nope, Actually Bud is very handsome and dashing young man, it's just that he recently became the father of triplets and he's feeling sickly from changing so many diapers and continually feeding three infants, basically he's sleep deprived. But help is on the way for Bud, his wife called from the Bahamas and she said she'd be home eventually.

Sound of Innocence
It is absolutely with great joy that I tell you that I have been invited to join the design team of the Digi Doodle Shop and I am so looking forward to sharing their wonderful images with you and hopefully enticing you into joining their challenges. The design team's inaugural challenge is distressing and you are invited to play along for a chance to win a $10.00 gift certificate to spend at Digi Doodle Shop. You definitely want to visit my new teammates' blogs for wonderful inspiration and ideas. If you haven't shopped at Digi Doodle Shop, go now so you don't miss their fabulous sale going on now.
When I first saw the Sound of Innocence at the Digi Doodle Shop, it made my heart squeeze from sweet memories of one little girl who loved to perform in the buff except for her pink rubber fur-lined boots. We knew at any early age that my youngest daughter loved music but didn't realize how much until she managed to convince a very kind gentleman at the flea market that she needed the child-sized piano he was offering for sale. Since we did not have enough money to purchase it, the man gave it to my daughter unknowingly launching her long enduring love affair with the piano and music. After years of piano lessons she is still passionate about music and is often asked to perform and she does only fully clothed!

Think Pink
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Dude Time Doodles is having a "Think Pink" challenge instead of a sketch challenge. It's not as hard as you might think to make a pink card for a dude and as proof, I called upon Last Call Leonard from Bonibleaux Designs to assist me. I've met several bartenders in my short lifetime but I cannot think of one that is such a cutie-pie as Leonard!
Be sure to visit the rest of the Dudettes to see what they've created and as a very special treat, we have our first ever Dude joining us as October's guest design team member, welcome Kevin!
Hurry now and get your pink on and be a winner!

Nerdy Ghost Girl
Front |
So, I guess you're wondering where the paper piecing is, well if you look closely, the ghost is wearing a vellum sheet. And if you don't think I sweated bullets trying to paper piece the little tiny fragment of vellum over the pumpkin, well, you are mistaken.

Fall Scarecrow
Welcome to the Just Inklined blog hop and if you arrived from the awesome Jak's blog, you are hopping in the right direction! The hostess for today's hop is the super talented Cathy and the theme is the beautiful colors of fall - oranges, golds, yellows, browns, to name a handful. I used Scarecrow from Just Inklined, for my card and a "welcome fall" sentiment from my stockpile.
Your next bounce is to visit Toni to see her incredible creation. In case you get lost here is the order of the hop and don't forget to comment along the way, there are two spot prizes to be won!

No pumpkin shortage here
Sad news for jack-o-lattern carvers, because of the extremely wet weather conditions in parts of our country this summer, there is a shortage of pumpkins. But thank goodness there is no lack of pumpkins in the digital world such as the irresistible (at least I couldn't resist them) Candy Corn Jacks by Sassy Cheryl's and the best part is that there is no carving hence, no mess!
