Petticoats Three
When I first saw Petticoats Three over at Just Inklined, it was instant happiness. I was very curious about the little tags on each petticoat and I assumed (never assume) that the numbers indicated sizes but each looked to me to be the same proportions. I decided to ask and not assume so I sent an email to Just Inklined's chief guru and my crafting idol, Jak Heath, and she very sweetly advised me that it is old English money, seven shillings and sixpence for the first, six shillings for the second, and ten shillings and sixpence for the third. She also told me that my question gave her a little giggle. If I wasn't so embarrassed by my ignorance, I would have asked her if she would mind converting the total into American dollars and cents!

Very cute - it reminds me of that old Petticoat Junction show where the girls would hang their petticoats on the water tank when they went swimming. I would have thought the same thing as you, but I probably wouldn't have asked!
