There was a little girl. . .

There was a little girl that had a little curl, right in the middle of her forehead. When she was good, she was very good indeed. But when she was bad she was horrid.  And surprise, surprise the poem was written by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow!

My mother would often recite the poem to me and I have repeated it to my daughters and to my granddaughters instead of counting to ten. This delightful image from the ever sweet Mo Manning reminds me of that poem. Even though you cannot see the curl in the middle of her forehead, this little tike's body language dictates its presence.

If you haven't already posted your entry for the Stampin With the Dragon Challenge you still have five days to do so.  The challenge is easy, just design your creation around a "Holiday Song".  The prizes are amazing. If you need a reminder about the prizes and other details check my post of Friday, November 12, 2010. I would love to see someone I know win a prize.

  1. Loved this poem when I was a child Tammy. My Mum used to recite it to us and try as she might that curl did not stay on the forehead for too long!
It is a lovely image and could be used for a few different reasons too!

  7. Great card Tammy. The poem could be adapted slightly for DTD's Time Out Tim.

  8. Hehe, Tammy! How cute is this??? My mother used to recite the same poem to me, and I did to my daughter -- which is probably why I love to draw slightly naughty children.

Love the sweet coloring on this card and those bows are perfect!! :)

My hubby and I sing-song this poem to our little dog. It's a riot the way she looks at you while you're doing it!
