The Violin
When I was in elementary school, I tried and I tried to learn to play the violin. Two years into the beginner's class, my violin teacher dropped me from the program. The good news is that I still remember the name of each string but not how to play the scales. Years later, I tortured each of my five children with violin lessons with pretty much the same results. But we all tried and now I content myself with the knowledge that it wasn't us, it was the violin's fault! The beautiful images of a violin is from Just Inklined, one of four images in Digi Print JI-005.

Tammy when I was learning to play the piano there was a girl also learning to play the violin just outside the door. The teacher I think was doing two lessons at once. Anyway every now and then she would make a screeching sound and the nun would bellow and I would immediately play a wrong note. I think that's called a cacophony!
ReplyDeleteAnyway enough reminiscing!. Your card is lovely and an excellently played violin is most certainly a delight!
Admitting defeat is also sometimes wise!
This is gorgeous Tammy.xxx

ReplyDeleteBeautiful image and a simply stunning card Tammy! Oh so pretty. I'd probably have to strum it like a guitar to get any sound out of a violin!

I love that image )
ReplyDeleteI only just gave up playing after spending 6yrs learning, arthritis in my left hand has overtaken me now & I struggle to play anything above a slow waltz, the old broken fingers just cannot do the small quick moments no more.
There's a good chunk of my soul shut up in that violin case with my precious baby.
Aj.

ReplyDeleteViolin. I don't do well with stringed instruments. Hurts my 'delicate' fingers (the same fingers that i chew when I'm stressed. haha).
I don't blame you.
